AROUND THE WORLD IN THREE DAYS

In connection with Earth Day 2012, the CO2 Green Drive Project in collaboration with the Danish Cultural Institute, Earth Day Network and various local partners around the world embarked on a mission to perform CO2 Green Drive in 12 cities on 5 continents.

On 20th April the CO2 "tagging" started with simultaneous events in New York/US and Horsens/Denmark. In New York, the artist behind CO2 Green Drive Jacob Fuglsang Mikkelsen collaborated with Earth Day New York. The performance was done with a selection of electric & hybrid cars and trucks along with an electric MC and a Bicycle Taxi functioning as "brushes" while in Horsens the "tagging" was performed by 150 bicyclists and 7 Electric Vehicles.

This was followed by India where CO2 Green Drive was performed by approximately 250 runners in 6 cities, including, Bhopal, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Thane. Above the CO2 "tags" from Delhi and Bhopal.

India was followed by Dakar in Senegal where 130 bikers and 25 roller skaters took part in CO2 Green Drive alongside extensive press coverage and collaboration with City Hall. The CO2 tagging performance was attended and performed by The General Secretary of The Danish Cultural Institute Finn Andersen and CO2 Green Drive's own Aziz Fall.

At the last minute Cape Town in South Africa also managed to get onboard with local Electric Vehicle producer Optimal Energy supplying one EV to perform as "brush".

Finally in Santiago in Chile, a CO2 tag was carried out by a convoy of bicycles in collaboration with Danish Bicycle brand Biomega

THANK YOU to all the "brushes" around the world, partnering organizations, sponsors and helping hands. This couldn't have been done without you!
